SOFON LAB: AI needs more than just data
Artificial intelligence can now analyze vast amounts of information, generate text, conduct conversations, and automate processes. However, there is still a fundamental difference between processing language and truly understanding a human.
AI understands words. But it still doesn't understand how people think, make decisions, react, feel, or create meaning in real-world situations.
This is precisely why SOFON LAB was created.
SOFON LAB is a new interdisciplinary project of DIUSAI focused on connecting artificial intelligence with a deeper understanding of human behavior. Our goal is to create systems that do not only work with data, but can better understand context, motivations, emotions and human decision-making.
At SOFON LAB, we transform human behavior into a system that AI understands. Not theoretically — but through real interactions, research, and practical models of how humans function in the digital world.
SOFON LAB consists of experts from the following fields:
- psychology and neuroscience
- philosophy and ethics
- sociology
- linguistics
- business insight and behavioral understanding
Each of these disciplines brings its own perspective on humans — and it is their combination that creates the foundation for new generations of intelligent systems.
SOFON LAB is a space for people who want to think more deeply about the future of AI. Not just through the technology itself, but through the person for whom the technology is created.
